After its Broadway debut, Sting’s first musical, The Last Ship, returned to its roots in Newcastle before touring the UK and then Los Angeles and San Francisco. The show is inspired by Sting’s childhood experiences and follows the demise of the shipbuilding industry in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear.
